COMIC CON 2011: GEEK LOVE IS ALL AROUND

The Cast of The Big Bang Theory learned an important lesson during their panel: Brush up your sci-fi-knowledge before heading into the San Diego Convention.When a fan referenced Doctor Who’s time machine, TARDIS, in a question, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco had no idea what it was and the crowd erupted in lighthearted boos.

During the fan Q&A portion of the panel, an Iraq war vet expressed his gratitude to the show for giving him laughs when he was overseas. “Than you for serving our country”, said Parsons, before adding a playful “Bazinga!”. Cuoco found time to flirt with a fan, telling him his question was her “best nerd encounter” so far.

Overall, the banter between the cast and fans proved the series popularity with the Comic-crowd. “We might be here for a very long time”, said Johnny Galecki.
